September 16th, 2011 - Oxford!!!

I was really excited for the day trip to Oxford - where inspiration for some of Harry Potter's most often filmed scenes were done. The first place we stopped by was the building that was used as the Hospital Wing was.

We explored other cool places in Oxford. There was a cute pub - which I spent time with H^2, S.D., L.N., K.F., A.S. &  E.J. at eating and discussing our elation. It is one of Oxford's oldest pubs and is accessed by taking a winding alleyway. The food was fantastic.

We went into some shops and had a good look around. Then we went to the Chapel where we saw the famous corridors and Great Hall! Or, to be proper about it, the Great Hall that inspired the Directors to build the set for the Great Hall!

The rest of the day was fantastic - although I didn't get a chance to visit the pub Clive Stables and John Ronald Raul frequented while writing  Narnia and Lord of the Rings. However, I saw it from the bus window so I guess that's okay!

Oxford was beautiful and I could see myself studying there--- maybe in the future :-D.

Cheers,

~ H.C.
