September 27th, 2011 - Le Chef Masgoul & Blues

Tonight was an adventure in every sense. I got to eat at an Iraqi restaurant for dinner. I had the salmon, and being adventurous ate the eyes.  The texture was strange and I can safely say I will never eat fish eyes again. :-D But the salmon was delicious and I really enjoyed it. The appetizers before hand was fantastic!

Did I mention the nan bread bigger than my face? They literally brought down huge wheels of fresh nan bread. I cannot get enough of that stuff (will look into convincing the parents to add in a nan-break oven if they ever remodel the kitchen)!

After I left the post-meal tea - of which I drank four cups on delicious peppermint and had some tasty desserts - I traveled with a group of six to a Blues Club. It was cramped and small but had live music. The band was one that frequent's the place.

Later in the night I spoke with a nice Scottish-born Englishmen named Graham. We talked about architecture, churches, and London's crazy streets.

I had a great time at the club and was really glad I could share the experience with E.J.

;-D
